\nEl anuncio de Libra, que estar\u00e1 en operaciones en 2020, impuls\u00f3 el precio del bitcoin y otras criptodivisas en el mundo, aunque tambi\u00e9n reaviv\u00f3 los temores y posiciones en contra de los reguladores globales al uso de dinero virtual, as\u00ed como su negativa a respaldarlo.<\/p>\n
\nEn t\u00e9rminos generales, Libra pretende funcionar como una moneda global para realizar transacciones inmediatas sin cobro de comisiones, adem\u00e1s de que buscar\u00eda el respaldo de monedas internacionales como el d\u00f3lar y el euro.<\/p>\n
\nLos usuarios de Facebook ser\u00edan los primeros en poder utilizar esta moneda virtual y la empresa ha empezado ya a buscar bancos que respalden su operaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
\nHasta el momento, diversos analistas consideran que la regulaci\u00f3n de los bancos centrales del mundo ser\u00e1 la gran limitante de Libra; no obstante, puede volverse una poderosa cartera para realizar pagos al estilo PayPal.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cHay beneficios potenciales aqu\u00ed. Tambi\u00e9n hay riesgos potenciales, particularmente de una moneda que podr\u00eda tener una gran aplicaci\u00f3n\u201d, dijo al respecto el presidente de la Reserva Federal de Estados Unidos (FED, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), Jerome Powell.<\/p>\n
\nLa calificadora Standard and Poor\u2019s puso en duda el potencial de dicha divisa, al considerar que las limitaciones regulatorias s\u00f3lo le permitir\u00e1n desarrollarse bajo alianzas con otros gigantes tecnol\u00f3gicos, pero sin posibilidad de expandirse como medio de pago global.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cSi bien los miembros fundadores apuntan a un lanzamiento en el primer semestre de 2020, este nivel de escrutinio podr\u00eda implicar retrasos o un alcance limitado en el despliegue inicial.
