Nielsen Global Connect, a subsidiary of Nielsen Holdings, recently launched new technology that helps to enhance in-store marking capabilities for CPG brands. In total there are three new tools form Nielsen Global Connect, including Nielson SmartStore, Nielsen Smart Shelf, and Nielson Smart Shopper. Neilson SmartStore leverages VR technology to empower CPG brands to create in-store 3D environments, with directional audio and HD haptic feedback. Neilson SmartShelf has 3D virtual simulation capabilities allowing companies to test content. Lastly, Neilson SmartShopper is an AR tool, where customers access product images and more using their smartphones. Overall the tools can work in conjunction to improve the shopping experience, and it can track shopper head movements to see what content engages consumers the most. Image Credit: Shutterstock
