Supersized School Shopping Ads : Big Day Back

To highlight its back-to-school deals, Walmart released its ‘Big Day Back’ commercial, a short spot that features a range of the apparel and accessories it offers, as well as a message that most parents and kids can relate to.

With the first day back at school being a big deal to kids, who haven’t seen many of their peers for months and likely grew up a lot over the summer break, Walmart features kids who stand as tall as they feel. Keeping this concept in mind, Walmart shows kids towering over buildings as they make to school, proudly sporting the new gear their parents picked up from them. In the background, ‘I Just Wanna Shine,’ a song from the band Fitz and the Tantrums, plays in the background.
