Virtual try-on technology is no longer just a novel experience—it’s becoming an essential way for consumers to interact with products post-pandemic. Eyewear retailer Clearly is reopening its doors in Canada with a plan that includes a safe shopping experience, which includes the option of in-store Virtual Try Ons. As CEO Arnaud Bussieres describes, “Trying on eyewear is one of the main appeals of visiting an optical store. However, during these challenging times, putting a display frame on your face is a shocking notion to a lot of people.” With this experience, Clearly is setting itself apart as the first retailer in Canada to offer in-store Virtual Try On. Each pair of glasses in the store is equipped with a QR code, which can be scanned with a mobile device to virtually try out the frames and discover more information. Image Credit: Clearly
