When deciding on the mood of the Japanese bar, Carpenter + Mason embraced industrialism. This movement is heavily prominent in Brooklyn, therefore the business’ brick-and-mortar presence seamlessly ties into the existing vibe of its location. However, to set Kura apart in the area and to pay homage to the Japanese bar’s product, Carpenter + Mason also infuses the interior with subtle but strong elements that hint toward Eastern cultures.
