The boy struggles in class at first, but his dedicated teacher pushes him to improve. The boy starts reading and writing more, and excels in his studies. Staples highlights some of its writing materials in a subtle manner throughout the commercial, with the boy writing in composition books and opening his planner to see a note of encouragement from his parents.

As the commercial concludes, the boy has grown up, becoming the successful author he dreamed of being. His former English teacher comes to his book signing, where he recognizes her as the mentor that guided him.
