Popeyes confused its Twitter followers this week by tweeting out “pizza”—which prompted plenty of questions from fans, especially since the fried chicken chain has never had this item on its menu. The attention-grabbing campaign was not meant to tease a new offering but instead, entice Popeyes customers with free delivery for “anyone who orders a Popeyes Family Meal instead of pizza on the Popeyes App.” With Popeyes Pizza Party Crashers, Popeyes set out to find out if people would be willing to trade their pizza for a Popeyes Family Meal. The Family Meals can be ordered in different varieties, including a 14-piece fried-chicken Family Meal with two large sides and seven biscuits or a large 14-piece chicken tender Family Meal with two large sides and five biscuits.Image Credit: Popeyes
