Corona & Parley for the Oceans are Repurposing Single-Use Plastic

Reusable bags are no longer just eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastic bags but stylish, limited-edition collectibles. Corona and Parley for the Oceans collaborated with Stephanie Gilmore, Gabriel Medina and artists to create limited-edition reusable bags that are made with Ocean Plastic by Parley.

Bali recently announced a ban on all single-use plastic, including plastic bags, and to support the region, Corona, Parley and World Surf League are donating 20,000 of the reusable bags made with Ocean Plastic. These bags can also be purchased online in real-time, and each purchase helps to provide three more reusable bags to the local community. Ultimately, the goal of the project is to provide each household in Indonesia with a reusable bag.

These eco-friendly artist-created bags are the first project to come out of the La Casa pop-up from Corona, which is a collaborative space that’s made from over a ton of recycled plastic itself.
