Following the news that French’s has created mustard-flavored Ice cream, Oscar Mayer has debuted its own bizarre summer treat dubbed the Oscar Mayer Ice Dog Sandwich. Just as the name suggests, this meaty ice cream sandwich is made with real Oscar Mayer wieners.
The Oscar Mayer Ice Dog Sandwich is a sweet and savory treat created in honor of National Ice Cream Sandwich Day on August 2. The unorthodox dessert consists of a hot dog-studded ice cream infused with bits of candied Oscar Mayer wieners, as well as a spicy mustard ice cream.
To get your hands on this hot dog-style ice cream sammie, the iconic Wienermobile will be touring around Manhattan during the week of August 12th and handing out free samples.
