McDonald’s China is enticing consumers with a new dessert offering unlike others before it. Officially dubbed the ‘Youpo Lazi’ Sundae, this sweet and spicy concoction is made using pepper, onion, garlic and other spices. The treat drew its inspiration from spicy youpo noodles, a popular dish from the Shaanxi Province. Perfect for those who like a bit of a kick, this dessert arrives like a classic McDonald’s Sundae, featuring soft serve ice cream. It is then topped with the new pairing, featuring a spicy chili oil made from pepper, onion and garlic. The inventive dessert marks new territory for the fast food chain, who have been experimenting with menu items as of recently.
